Q. How long does it take to fit?

A. A typical install can take anything between 2 to 3 hours.

Q. What area's do you cover?

Q. How does it protect my vehicle?

A. CANBus immobilisers are fitted direct to the vehicle CANBus system discreetly in the vehicle and enables the user to set a unique PIN which either prevents the vehicle from starting or placed into gear (Gear Lock).

Q. What if my vehicle is leased or under warranty?

A. The system can be installed in a manner which will not affect any manufacturer warranty and can also be removed for when the vehicle is due to be returned to the lease company.  Please note an additional charge will be required for this service.

Q. What if I decide to sell my vehicle?

A. In this case you have two options; either sell the car with the immobiliser still installed as a sales feature for more money, or the system can be removed and re-fitted to your new car.  Please note an additional charge will be required for this service.

Q. What if my car needs to go to a garage for repair or service?

A. The system can easily be placed into "VALET" mode which will allow the immobiliser to be in sleep mode for a set period of time or until the vehicle travels over a set speed.  Once the time has passed or the speed limit exceeded, the system once again 'arms' and the PIN is required.  This means the vehicle can be handed to your garage without them even being aware the system is fitted or having to give them the code.

Q. What if I forget my code?

A. Your installer will fully explain and give a demonstration of all features of the system at the time of fitting.  One of these features is the ability to put the system into 'Recovery' mode using a unique PIN that you will be provided with on installation day.

Q. What if I lose my Master PIN?

A. Your installer will still be able to help, but this will require direct contact at the time.

Q. Do you offer a discount if I have more than one install completed?

A. Get in touch so we can discuss your options as discounts are available for multi-installs!

Q. What if someone breaks into my house for my car keys?

A. Even being in possession of your vehicles keys you vehicle will be protected, as the unique PIN still needs to be entered for the vehicle to be stolen.

Q. But I'm worried about thieves potentially threatening me to handover my unique PIN, have I got any options?

A. Of course, there are alternatives to having to enter a PIN.  We can fit a system where no PIN is needed, but a tag needs to be in the vehicle for it to start and drive away.  This can even be set to allow the vehicle to be started on one occasion so any offenders or threat are removed, but after that one start the vehicle re-arms and won't start again.  We do however recommend that a tracking system is also installed with this system in order for the location of the vehicle to be identified.

Q. I struggle to remember most things, how will I remember my PIN?

A. Your PIN can be as simple or as complex as you wish to make it easier to remember.  You will also be amazed how it becomes second nature to enter your PIN before you start your car. But if you're still concerned there is the option to have a system where tag is required to be in the car, rather than a PIN code.

Q. Is having a CANBus immobiliser guaranteed to protect my vehicle?

A. No security feature is guaranteed to be un-beatable, however CANBus Immobilisers are known to be the best at protecting your vehicles.  The system is also as only as good as its install, so the more discreet and professional the install the more difficult it is to by-pass.
